And this movie was on NOBODY’s radar until that day, when it was announced during the game and dropped onto Netflix immediately following.

For fans of JJ Abrams’ previous Cloverfield movies, it was the perfect storm of hype, surpassing even the found-footage, mysterious build-up to the original Cloverfield.

Much has been said about The Cloverfield Paradox in these not-quite-two-weeks since it appeared, as if by magic.
