Directed by James Klass, and starring Becca Hirani, Andrew Hollingsworth, and Faye Goodwin, House on Elm Lake is another in a long line of low-budget, indie horror movies by ambitious young directors, looking to make a name for themselves.
How does James Klass do? Is this a career maker?
Here’s a hint: another reviewer compared this to The Conjuring, and said it was “oozing with atmosphere” (The Schlock Pit). I think I’m going to call that phrase the horror equivalent to “visually stunning” when it comes to reviewing movies.
Have a listen, and see what you think.
*House on Elm Lake became available on VOD April 10, from Wild Eye Releasing.
