Next up, another mind-bending, psychological horror outing from director Ari Aster, titled

Midsommar

Midsommar

Ari Aster, who last wowwed audiences at Sundance with Hereditary, took Midsommar to Cannes this year where it received enthusiastic, if somewhat confused, reviews.

How is the film descibed? A couple travels to Sweden to visit a rural hometown’s fabled mid-summer festival. What begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a pagan cult.

What did we think?

Oh, we’re so glad you asked.
