Big release of the week, and Ryan and I finally find time to talk about it:
Directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, and Frances Conroy, Joker is a look at the origins of Batman’s greatest villain.
Synopsis:
In Gotham City, mentally-troubled comedian Arthur Fleck is disregarded and mistreated by society. He then embarks on a downward spiral of revolution and bloody crime. This path brings him face-to-face with his alter-ego: “The Joker”.
With a lot of festival love and controversy surrounding Joker, can it possibly live up to all the hype?
I don’t know about that, but I do know is that we tried very hard not to spoil anything for you.
