Synopsis:

Full of misgivings, a young woman travels with her new boyfriend to his parents’ secluded farm. Upon arriving, she comes to question everything she thought she knew about him, and herself.

Oh, boy….

Let’s start with the obvious:

Charlie Kaufman should come with a warning label.

There; I said it.

Think Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Adaptation

You get the idea.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things is not, as the title might suggest, a movie about suicidal thoughts.

It would be a much simpler watch if it was, I can tell you that.

And the story, told from the viewpoint of the “young woman” (there’s a reason for that), is a mind-bending trip through… something.

What I’m trying to say is that it takes some work.

Have a listen and see what you think.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things stars Jesse Plemons, Jessie Buckley, Toni Collette, and David Thewlis.
