Synopsis:

A seemingly perfect romance turns into a nightmare when a mother becomes convinced her daughter’s new boyfriend has a dark connection to her own past.

Evil Eye stars Sarita Choudhury, Sunita Mani, Omark Maskati, and Bernard White.

This film is interesting because of its dependence on the Indian culture. It’s not a film that could easily be translated into a western film, simply because the underlying mythology would not quite fit as well as it does here.

With her mother continually trying to get her married off to a suitable young man, a woman finally finds such a person, and while her mother is initially excited…

This is the part where the cultural elements/beliefs come into play.

And the film is better for it.

Have a listen as Ryan and I discuss Evil Eye, then let us know what you thought of the film.
