Mortal Kombat
110 Minutes, Rated R
Written by Greg Russo and Dave Callaham
Directed by Simon McQuoid
Synopsis:
MMA fighter Cole Young seeks out Earth’s greatest champions in order to stand against the enemies of Outworld in a high stakes battle for the universe.
After the ill-received 1995 adaptation of the beloved video game (and the even more-ill-received 1997 sequel), fans had to wait 20+ years for a version that promised to be faithful to the blood-spurting, spine-ripping, phenomenon that was Mortal Kombat.
Well, this version certainly does deliver the violence, blood, and catch-phrases that fans of the game remember.
But is it any good?
