Feature film adaptation of the musical about a teenager from Sheffield, England who wants to be a drag queen.
Ah, the cinematic adaptation of a Broadway musical.
You all remember that exactly 50% of this show really likes musicals, right?
Well, this isn’t the only one Hollywood has given us of late, so keep your eyes peeled for the other one to drop soon.
But for this one, let’s focus on the music, because if the music doesn’t work, then it doesn’t matter how good the rest of the show is, does it?
And, overall, the music is pretty good…upbeat, non-depressing generally.
Want more than that?
Well, I’m sorry, but you’re just going to have to listen to the rest to get that.
Everybody’s Talking About Jamie can be seen in theaters or on Amazon Prime.
Everybody’s Talking About Jamie stars Max Harwood, Lauren Patel, Sarah Lancashire, Shobna Gulati, Richard E. Grant, and Sharon Horgan.
