Lamb – Movie Review
106 Minutes, Rated R
Written by Sjon and Valdimar Jóhannsson
Directed by Valdimar Jóhannsson
Synopsis:
A childless couple, María and Ingvar, discover a mysterious newborn on their farm in Iceland. The unexpected prospect of family life brings them much joy, before ultimately destroying them.
A24, the studio which has brought us such… diverse… titles as Saint Maud, On The Rocks, Boys State, The Lighthouse, Midsommar, Uncut Gems, and The Green Knight, is at it again.
Lamb is like none of those. Well, the closest it maybe comes is Midsommar.
But that’s a stretch.
You’re just going to have to listen, I’m afraid.
Lamb opens exclusively in theaters on October 8, 2021.
Lamb stars Noomi Rapace, Hilmir Snær Guðnason, and Björn Hlynur Haraldsson.
