Synopsis:

A love letter to journalists set in an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional twentieth century French city that brings to life a collection of stories published in “The French Dispatch Magazine.”

We both consider ourselves Wes Anderson fans (see our review of Isle of Dogs), so we were understandably excited to see his newest film, The French Dispatch.

Featuring his ever-expanding cast of regulars, does The French Dispatch maintain the director’s sense of whimsy and delight?

Let’s find out.

The French Dispatch will open exclusively in theaters on October 29.

The French Dispatch stars Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Stephen Park, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson.
