House of Gucci – Movie Review
157 Minutes, Rated R
Written by Becky Johnson and Roberto Bentivegna
Directed by Ridley Scott
Synopsis:
When Patrizia Reggiani, an outsider from humble beginnings, marries into the Gucci family, her unbridled ambition begins to unravel their legacy and triggers a reckless spiral of betrayal, decadence, revenge, and ultimately…murder.
We have a special guest with us for this one. Valerie Cameron, of the Movies That Make Us and Multiplane podcasts, is back to talk about our second Ridley Scott film of the year (or last 60 days, lol).
And, as a bonus, she’ll also be back to talk about Being the Ricardos in week or so, so apologies that this session ends a bit abruptly, but embargoes are a thing we have to deal with…
But can this star-studded extravaganza possibly live up to the real-world glitz and glamour that is the Gucci brand?
Let’s find out.
House of Gucci will release exclusively in theaters on November 24.
House of Gucci stars Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, Jared Leto, Jack Huston, Salma Hayek, Camille Cottin, and Reeve Carney.
