Synopsis:

In a post-apocalyptic world rocked by a violent android uprising, a young pregnant woman and her boyfriend desperately search for safety.

 


 

I’d seen some chatter about this movie on social media, so I thought I’d check it out. Why?

Well, because I love sci-fi. I love Chloe Grace-Moretz.

Why wouldn’t I want to watch Mother/Android?

Artificial Intelligence run amok. What are their motivations? Are they trying to keep humanity safe from itself (I, Robot) or just giving up on us all together?

A pregnant woman and her boyfriend trying to make it to a “safe” location (Boston), a classic quest trope. Is such a place real?

Is it not? Is it just a kind of wish fulfillment fantasy denial coping mechanism for the human brain?

Well?

The movie isn’t terribly BAD…
