Synopsis:

We Are the Thousand proves that together impossible goals can be reached. Like playing “Learn to Fly” as a tribute to your favorite rock band, the Foo Fighters, by putting together 1,000 musicians playing perfectly in synch. Or convincing Dave Grohl to come and play in the small village of Cesena, Italy. It’s what the Rockin’ 1000 achieved, a group of Italian friends who became a global community, bringing together musicians from all around the world.
We Are the Thousand is the story of how the largest rock band on the planet came to be: over nineteen thousand musicians, amateurs and pros from every age group and social background, united by one passion: rock ‘n’ roll.

Wow.

Just… wow.

This is one of those documentaries that will literally have you on the edge of your seat in anticipation of what is coming.

It has been said countless times that a picture is worth a thousand words, and that music can express things that mere words cannot.

That, then, can 24 frames per second of a thousand musicians speaking as one say? Not just to the Foo Fighters, but to each and every one of us?

A seemingly impossible task, undertaken with pure intention and common purpose, can, for just a moment, subjugate the human Ego to a common goal, the impossible goal, is no longer impossible.

Perhaps, if we learn nothing else, it’s that we can, despite leading our own individual lives with our own individual concerns, if our will is strong enough, create a moment so incredibly meaningful, beyond even what it was intended for initially.

Humanity is capable of great things: great destruction and great creation. One cannot exist without the other, and in a time when it seems destruction is on the rise, it is more important than ever to be reminded of our ability to create, to fight back against the negativity that drags us down in both body and spirit.

To remember that we can learn to fly again, perhaps even higher than we ever thought possible.

Watch the miracle for yourself:

We Are the Thousand is in theaters and on Digital/VOD now.
