Synopsis:
A fatally ill man tries to secure the future of his family in a world where the toxicity of the sun forces people to stay inside during the daytime.
Man….
Look, let’s not beat around the bush on this one, okay? We both had problems with Lx2048.
That sucks, of course, because we both love sci-fi movies, so this should have been tailor-made for us to enjoy.
Part Blade Runner, part Equilibrium, part every philosophical existential movie ever, Lx2048 has a lot of moving parts… there’s a lot of stuff going on here.
But you’re just going to have to listen to the episode to figure out exactly how all those varying inspirations worked together (or didn’t) to really understand Lx2048.
Lx2048 stars James D’Arcy, Anna Brewter, Delroy Lindo, Gabrielle Cassi, Gina McKee, and Juliet Aubrey.
