Can you survive a total war?

World War Four stars Graham Vincent, Morgan Bradley, Campbell Rousselle, and Kelvin Taylor.

Let me hit some of the highlights for you on this one, okay?

First, it’s all of 85 minutes long. Short-ish for a feature, especially one with a kernal of a premise, albeit one ripped from any number of James Bond movies.

Second, the (vast) majority of this 85 minute run-time seems to be comprised of public-domain, widely circulated, file/news/archival footage of various riots, terroist attacks, military exercises, etc.

Director A.K. Strom then filmed his actors filling in the narrative gaps in his storyline that couldn’t be filled by said footage.

So, effectively, what we have here is a short film built on top of (again–what appears to be) other footage.

Jaws 5, anyone?

Anywho…

The idea of nuclear war should terrify people. I don’t mean run around thinking it’s going to happen today, mind you, but rather recognize that there are some evil people on this planet, and some of them have access to nuclear weapons.

In the case of World War Four, however, we aren’t concerned about a rogue state with a nuke… we’re concerned about a shadowy figure (ONE! A single person!) manipulating intelligence and circumstance to maneuver the nuclear world into launching their own war.

For no reason we can see, unless that guy lives in the best bunker ever.
