Synopsis:

An aging Chinese immigrant is swept up in an insane adventure, where she alone can save the world by exploring other universes connecting with the lives she could have led.

Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as Daniels, the film is a hilarious and big-hearted sci-fi action adventure about an exhausted Chinese American woman (Michelle Yeoh) who can’t seem to finish her taxes.

But it is so much more than that.

Somehow, this wild, crazy, completely bonkers concept, about a woman who learns that she, and only she, among everyone in the entire multiverse, can stop an evil which threatens to destroy everything.

But she can only do it by drawing on the skills and knowledge she, herself, possesses… from other universes.

Now, If that sounds like the kind of story you can get behind, and you perhaps enjoyed the directors’ previous film, Swiss Army Man, then you are in for a treat.

Michelle Yeoh truly flexes her acting chops as Evelyn, the multiverse’s would-be Saviour, as she portrays countless versions as herself, trying to find what she needs to defeat this evil.

She is so incredibly good here, that she manages to convince us she cannot do martial arts… while simultaneously kicking peoples’ collective butts with martial arts!

Seriously, though, we love this film and think the whole cast is great, most of whom play multiple versions/aspects of themselves, including Jamie Lee Curtis as an IRS agent with a grudge and a shelf full of… awards.

It will make shocking sense when you see it, lol.

Trust us, and trust the directors. Most importantly, trust that Michelle Yeoh won’t let you down.

Everything Everywhere All At Once hits theaters on April 8.
